NFL Is Not Flexing in Week 13

Stealing a line from Andrew Siciliano of DirecTV's Red Zone Channel, referee Ed Hochuli can flex, but the NFL is not. For Week 13, the scheduled primetime game, Chicago at Minnesota will remain on NBC. Here's the news from the fine people at the National Football League:

NO CHANGE IN NBC SUNDAY NIGHT GAME;

DENVER BRONCOS AT NEW YORK JETS MOVES TO 4:15 PM ET ON CBS ON NOV. 30

The Week 13 NFL schedule was finalized and announced today with the originally scheduled Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings Sunday night game on NBC remaining in place. The only game-time change is the Denver Broncos at New York Jets game on Sunday, November 30 moving from 1:00 PM ET to 4:15 PM ET on CBS.

The flex schedule game-time change for this Sunday (Nov. 23) is Carolina at Atlanta on FOX at 4:15 PM ET.

We have yet to see a game flexed out of primetime. Either the NFL has scheduled well or NBC just doesn't want to change anything. Then again, the first three weeks of the flex system this season have all involved the higher rated NFC so I'm sure NBC would rather ride this wave of higher ratings for as long as possible.
