CNBC's Darren Rovell can understand when an English newspaper calls the Arizona Cardinals by the wrong name, but not an American newspaper. Darren notes the reduced number of parties during Super Bowl Week due to the economy. Darren tells us that the Cardinals' "Rod Tidwell" will be at the Super Bowl. Darren asks while there is a Buffalo Wings shortage for the Super Bowl, what about celery? And don't forget to vote in the Championship bracket in Darren's "As Seen on TV" products tournament (how is the ShamWow beating the George Foreman Grill? I call shenangans).

Neil Best of Newsday says the co-author of Joe Torre's new book, Tom Verducci talked with WFAN's Mike Francesa on Monday, but did no print interviews. And Neil mentions that he has read the Torre book and also links to SI.com which has an excerpt.
Greg Barr of the Houston Business Journal says Fox Sports Houston will produce 155 Astros games for the team's TV partners.
Joe Favorito writes that doctors are now using sports to help expand their brands to the public.
Roger van der Horst of the Raleigh (NC) News & Observer says Time Warner Cable has freed up some channel space for the Charlotte Bobcats. Roger has the ACC TV schedule for the Triangle. And Roger writes that CBS College Sports will re-air an interview with the late NC State women's basketball coach Kay Yow who passed away over the weekend.
The Sports Media Watch says the NHL All-Star Game saw a double digit bump in the overnight ratings from last season. The SMW says the Cleveland Cavaliers are topping the list in the NBA's local TV ratings. Paulsen writes that ABC's first NBA doubleheader of the season broke even with last year. SMW notes that the U.S. Figure Skating Championships took a ratings tumble from last January.
Steve Lepore's Puck The Media blog has Ron MacLean's interview of NHL Commish Gary Bettman from CBC's coverage of the All-Star Game. I watched it live and as usual, Ron is not afraid to mix it up with the Commissioner.
