Not Feeling Up to Posting Tonight

I’ve been feeling melancholy since this afternoon when I found out that an online friend, Sharon Balik, had passed on Tuesday. I met her online at a 24 message board where we both became moderators. Eventually, we split from that board and we ran another one together.

When Dancing With the Stars premiered, Sharon fell in love with that show and eventually went on to run her own message board and social network community. Not only was she fan of DWTS, but she loved dancing shows in general.

Every once in while, I would hear from Sharon through Facebook, an occasional e-mail and a visit to the private message board that I currently run. Through her message board, she became friends with many of the dancers on DWTS and would attend many of the live shows.

I was informed on Tuesday afternoon that she had passed away from cardiac arrest. Sharon died way too young. She leaves behind a loving husband and children. She was only 37 and had many friends in the Ballroom Dance community. Not only will she be missed, but she leaves a giant hole in the lives of whom she touched.

I apologize for not posting more today, but as you can tell, I’m quite shaken from this news. I’ll be back on Wednesday.
