ESPN's Statement on Arrest in Erin Andrews Video Stalking Case

Late Friday night, an arrest was made (link fixed) in the Erin Andrews stalking case that broke back in July. The FBI does not name Erin in its press release, but does identify the victim as "an ESPN on-air personality."

The alleged perpetrator, Michael David Barrett was arrested in Chicago on Friday. TMZ says Barrett allegedly taped Erin nude at two locations.

In a statement released in the wee hours of Saturday morning, an ESPN spokesman tweeted the following:
This is clearly welcome news. Our thoughts & support continue to be with Erin who has demonstrated tremendous strength & determination.
No word from Erin as of yet. She's scheduled to work the Auburn-Tennessee game tonight for ESPN. Ironically Nashville is supposedly where one of the hotel room tapes was shot.

More on the story as it becomes available.
