BREAKING NEWS: Erin Andrews Re-Signs With ESPN

Happening in the last hour, we find from Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand that none other than Erin Andrews will return to ESPN. According to John, the first events Erin will work under her new contract will be Home Run Derby in Anaheim tomorrow and the ESPY’s on Wednesday.

John adds that Erin will continue to work the sidelines, but she’ll have an expanded role on College Gameday which also increases by an hour on ESPNU.

Any outside non-ESPN gigs will need approval of network management, but expect to see her in some entertainment capacities down the line.

There had been speculation prior to her contract expiration in June that she would leave ESPN and move to an entertainment show such as Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight, however, a couple of weeks ago, we began hearing that Erin would be staying at the Alleged Worldwide Leader. It apparently has come to fruition.

An official announcement is expected Monday. I’ll have more when the announcement arrives in the Fang’s Bites inbox.
